VOV is a Finnish metal band founded in 2023. The band is based in Nakkila. In their music, VOV delves into the darker corners and shadows of the human mind, wrapping their stories in a dark, modern, and melodic metal sound.
Fronting the band is vocalist and mezzo-soprano Karoliina McLoud, whose background in classical singing is clearly reflected in VOV’s music. Behind the drums is Juha-Tapio Anttonen, a seasoned powermetal veteran and long-time drummer. The band’s bassist, Sami Halinen, is a versatile multi-talent who also carries the main responsibility for the band’s technical production. Completing the lineup is guitarist Teemu Harjunen, a seasoned and multifaceted virtuoso whose creativity and instinctive musicianship infuse VOV’s compositions with both unpredictability and finesse.
